After being loaded into the barriers, LET’S TAKE IT EASY became very fractious and reared on a number of occasions. Before being allowed to race again, LET’S TAKE IT EASY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial. LET’S TAKE IT EASY then began only fairly. AUTOPAY lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected. Shortly after the start, ROYALE ELEGANCE raced tight between EMPIRE STAR and WINASWEWISH which raced tight inside EXPERTO CREDE. After this, ROYALE ELEGANCE and WINASWEWISH were shifted across behind runners to obtain a position close to the rail. From a wide barrier, THE FULL BLOOM was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. AUTOPAY lost its left front plate near the 1300 Metres. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, GLENEALY PRIZE failed to muster speed and then after the 1200 Metres was shifted across in an attempt to obtain cover, however, was not able to do so and consequently travelled wide and without cover for the majority of the race. Throughout the early and middle stages, AUTOPAY raced with its head on the side and lay out and then making the turn after the 900 Metres got its head up as its rider attempted to have it remain racing on the rail. AUTOPAY continued to race with its head on the side and lay out rounding the Home Turn. After the 1000 Metres, ROYALE ELEGANCE travelled keenly. After the 500 Metres, DIAMOND MYSTERIOUS was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of AUTOPAY. Passing the 100 Metres, EMPIRE STAR commenced to shift in under pressure, resulting in its rider changing his whip over into his right hand. DIAMOND MYSTERIOUS and EXPERTO CREDE were sent for sampling.
