Shortly after the start, OPEN HOUSE was crowded for room between ART OF RAW and SILLY BUDDIES which shifted out after being brushed by URBAN CHIC. In this incident, ART OF RAW became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by OPEN HOUSE. From a wide barrier, WAYFOONG VINNIE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. WAYFOONG VINNIE lost its right front plate near the 650 Metres. Passing the 250 Metres, the whip of J Moreira (SUNNY WIN) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of Z Purton (SUPER WISE). Approaching the 200 Metres, M L Yeung (GOLDEN KID) dropped his whip. Near the 100 Metres, E-SUPER and KHAKI bumped. WAYFOONG VINNIE lay in under pressure and proved difficult to ride in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of KHAKI and ELITE SPIRIT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SUNNY WIN and WAYFOONG VINNIE were sent for sampling.
