DRAGON BACHELOR and RHODE ASSASSIN bumped at the start. CHEERFUL FRAME bounded in the air at the start and began awkwardly. CHEERFUL FRAME was then crowded for room between KING OF SMARTS which shifted out and EQUITY DOCTRINE which was taken in by GENTLEMEN. From wide barriers, ATOMIC BLAST, DIAMOND FRIENDS, HAPPY FRIENDSHIP and HOLY UNICORN were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After being hard ridden in the early stages, EMPIRE OF MONGOLIA was steadied after passing the winning post on the first occasion in an attempt to obtain cover. When left racing very wide after the 1200 Metres, EMPIRE OF MONGOLIA was then allowed to improve its position passing the 1000 Metres, however, continued to travel wide and without cover throughout. Making the turn after passing the winning post on the first occasion, RHODE ASSASSIN raced tight between DRAGON BACHELOR and INVISIBLE which lay in. In the early part of the Straight, N Callan (RHODE ASSASSIN) dropped his right rein. Approaching the 200 Metres, CONSISTENT and RHODE ASSASSIN raced tight. Passing the 100 Metres, GENTLEMEN was awkwardly placed inside the heels of CONSISTENT. A veterinary inspection of GENTLEMEN immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GENTLEMEN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of INVISIBLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GENTLEMEN, HAPPY BEAUTY and RHODE ASSASSIN were sent for sampling.
