SUPERNATURAL and CASH COURIER bumped heavily at the start. SUPERNATURAL, which became unbalanced, then shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of HOLY UNICORN which also became unbalanced. Shortly after the start, TRUE COMMENT shifted out and bumped AEROLUMINANCE. From wide barriers, SWEET BEAN and MY FOLKS were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. Passing the 1500 Metres, GOLDEN PARTNERS was left racing wide and without cover. After the 1500 Metres, LIGHTNING AND GOLD was steadied away from the heels of DRAGON BACHELOR (H W Lai) which shifted in when not properly clear. H W Lai was advised to ensure that he provides sufficient clearance when shifting ground in similar circumstances. HOLY UNICORN lost its left front plate near the 1300 Metres. Passing the 1200 Metres, HIGH SPEED METRO commenced to travel keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of AEROLUMINANCE. Near the 1150 Metres, SUPERNATURAL shifted out away from the heels of HIGH SPEED METRO and bumped HOLY UNICORN. Near the 550 Metres, CASH COURIER was steadied away from the heels of TRUE COMMENT after attempting to improve between that horse and GOLDEN PARTNERS where there was insufficient room. Passing the 550 Metres, SUPERNATURAL dipped. After the race, W M Lai reported that TRUE COMMENT came under heavy pressure prior to the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight commenced to give ground. He said when placed under pressure in the early part of the Straight, the horse’s head carriage lowered and it did not appear to be comfortable in its action. A veterinary inspection of TRUE COMMENT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, TRUE COMMENT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that AEROLUMINANCE had sustained a small wound to the outside of the right hock. A veterinary inspection of CASH COURIER and SUPER SWEET ORANGE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. AEROLUMINANCE and LIGHTNING AND GOLD were sent for sampling. <19/6/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>CASH COURIER, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. CASH COURIER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer K L Man this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to have a sore right front fetlock and also have a stiff and restricted action. Before being allowed to race again, CASH COURIER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
