ROCKETEER shifted out at the start and bumped WINNIE’S HONEY. MAGICAL BEAUTY shifted out on jumping and bumped GONNA RUN which in turn shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of SPEEDY LONGWAH which became unbalanced. After this, MAGICAL BEAUTY was ridden along, however, failed to muster speed and after passing the winning post on the first occasion was left racing wide and without cover. MAGICAL BEAUTY was then bumped by FRIENDS OF KA YING passing the 1300 Metres which got its head on the side and shifted out marginally when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY SPIRIT. From a wide barrier, DIVINE BOY was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, SPEEDY LONGWAH was momentarily steadied away from the heels of BIG BANG BONG which shifted in. DIVINE BOY shifted out passing the winning post on the first occasion and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of WINNIE’S HONEY. DYNAMISM lost its right hind plate near the 1300 Metres. Passing the 400 Metres, SPEEDY LONGWAH and HAPPY SPIRIT raced tight as SPEEDY LONGWAH shifted out from behind BIG BANG BONG. At the entrance to the Straight, Apprentice K K Chiong (MAGICAL BEAUTY) dropped her whip. Over the final 200 Metres, HAPPY SPIRIT lay in under pressure and was awkwardly placed outside the heels of SPEEDY LONGWAH. After initially being shifted to the outside of DYNAMISM near the 250 Metres, GONNA RUN was directed to that horse’s inside passing the 250 Metres when DYNAMISM was taken out by MAGICAL BEAUTY. A veterinary inspection of DYNAMISM, WINNIE’S HONEY and MAGICAL BEAUTY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FRIENDS OF KA YING, PACKING DRAGON and BIG BANG BONG were sent for sampling. <11/5/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>MAGICAL BEAUTY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. MAGICAL BEAUTY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A S Cruz this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, MAGICAL BEAUTY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
