SILVER SPUN and RIGHT HONOURABLE bumped at the start. Near the 950 Metres, SILVER SPUN was crowded for room between RIGHT HONOURABLE which shifted in and CALL ME AWESOME which, when being ridden along, got its head on the side and lay out. After this, CALL ME AWESOME continued to race with its head on the side and lay out and near the 850 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ACE KING. Approaching the 900 Metres, RIGHT HONOURABLE became unbalanced after being bumped by SILVER SPUN. A short distance later, RIGHT HONOURABLE was steadied when crowded for room between SILVER SPUN and WAYFOONG VINNIE which, after getting its head on the side and shifting in away from ALL BEST FRIENDS, then raced tight inside ALL BEST FRIENDS which shifted in. As the Stewards were satisfied that there was no rider carelessness associated with this incident, no further action was taken. Passing the 700 Metres, CALL ME AWESOME blundered and lost a considerable amount of ground after striking the heels of URBAN CHIC which was steadied away from the heels of ACE KING (K Teetan) which shifted in when not quite clear. K Teetan was advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. URBAN CHIC got its head on the side and shifted out making the turn after the 600 Metres, resulting in ALL BEST FRIENDS being taken wider. Also making the turn after the 600 Metres, CALL ME AWESOME lay out. Over the final 200 Metres, TRAVEL COMFORTS drifted out under pressure. Passing the 100 Metres, SILVER SPUN was shifted in away from the heels of ACE KING. TRAVEL COMFORTS and WAYFOONG VINNIE were sent for sampling. <30/3/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Officer reported that SUNNY DRAGON was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, SUNNY DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
