SUPER JUNIOR began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, UNLEASHED DRAGON was checked and SUPER JUNIOR badly hampered when crowded for room between SEVEN LUCK and PACKING GO GO which was also badly hampered after being taken out by PLANET STAR which was in turn taken out by RADIANT STEED. After this, UNLEASHED DRAGON was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 1100 Metres, PACKING GO GO and SUPER JUNIOR were hampered when PLANET STAR got its head on the side and shifted out away from RADIANT STEED. In this incident, SEVEN LUCK, which was racing outside SUPER JUNIOR, was hampered in consequence and then shifted across behind runners. PLANET STAR travelled keenly after the 1100 Metres and for some distance approaching and passing the 900 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of RADIANT STEED. RADIANT STEED got its head on the side near the 500 Metres and then made the Home Turn awkwardly. PLANET STAR raced greenly rounding the Home Turn. Approaching the 200 Metres and again over the concluding stages, PLANET STAR was awkwardly placed inside the heels of INVISIBLE. Throughout the race, INDIGENOUS STAR (C Y Ho) travelled wide and without cover. After the race, C Y Ho stated that INDIGENOUS STAR, when racing wide, lay out making the turns. A veterinary inspection of INDIGENOUS STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of HASTA LA VISTA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DARING FIT and HAPPY HAPPY STAR were sent for sampling.
