FLYING GODSPELL began awkwardly and then was crowded for room between CATCHMEIFYOUCAN and PEACE COMBINATION which blundered on jumping and shifted in. After this, FLYING GODSPELL, CATCHMEIFYOUCAN, RESPECT and HELEN’S CHOICE raced tight between PEACE COMBINATION and HURRICANE KID which shifted out. From the outside barrier, KIROV was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. FLYING GODSPELL travelled keenly when being steadied passing the 800 Metres. Making the turn near the 700 Metres, RESPECT shifted out away from the heels of PEACE COMBINATION, resulting in FLYING GODSPELL being taken into a three wide position and without cover. Making the turn after the 700 Metres, TRILLION TREASURE got its head on the side and lay out and then passing the 600 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters by HEARTS KEEPER which shifted out away from the heels of SUPER EURO STAR. CATCHMEIFYOUCAN, which was following HEARTS KEEPER, was shifted out away from that horse, resulting in KIROV being taken wider. Passing the 600 Metres, HURRICANE KID was awkwardly placed close to the heels of I’M THE WON FOR U. Near the 150 Metres, I’M THE WON FOR U was shifted in away from the heels of RESPECT to continue improving. Passing the 100 Metres, PEACE COMBINATION and RESPECT raced tight. Also passing the 100 Metres, FLYING GODSPELL was momentarily eased away from the heels of HEARTS KEEPER which shifted in. A veterinary inspection of FLYING GODSPELL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FLYING GODSPELL, HEARTS KEEPER and PEACE COMBINATION were sent for sampling.
