HIGH FIVE shifted in abruptly on jumping, resulting in ARCHIPPUS and SANGRIA being hampered and LUCKY EVER being inconvenienced. ACCEPTED began awkwardly and shifted in at the start, resulting in MOST BEAUTIFUL being crowded for room. Over the final 300 Metres, MOST BEAUTIFUL raced with its head on the side and lay in under pressure. Close to the finishing line, ARCHIPPUS shifted out and bumped HIGH FIVE. When questioned, K C Leung (LUCKY EVER) stated that he rode his mount along for a considerable distance in the early stages to have it maintain its position at the back of the field. He said after the 600 Metres LUCKY EVER changed lead legs and commenced to hang out. He said LUCKY EVER continued to hang out and as the horse did not feel comfortable in its action, he eased it down over the latter stages of the race. He added when pulling up after the race, LUCKY EVER shifted out abruptly towards the outside rail. He said whilst the horse did not appear to be lame after the race, it did not appear correct in its action. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY EVER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY EVER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of ADVENTURER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BAD BOY and MY LITTLE FRIEND were sent for sampling.
