HIGH SPEED METRO and SPEEDY WALLY bumped at the start. MIGHTY WONGCHOY shifted out on jumping and inconvenienced PRECIOUS GEM. Shortly after the start, DRAGON GLORY bumped MI SAVVY BOY. From the outside barrier, BEST JADE TRIUMPH was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. Approaching the 1000 Metres, PRECIOUS GEM was left racing wide and without cover and after the 900 Metres was allowed to improve its position closer to the lead, however, continued to race wide and without cover. Approaching the 800 Metres, SPEEDY WALLY got its head up when being checked away from the heels of FLYING MACHINE. Approaching the Home Turn, GLAMOROUS RYDER was awkwardly placed behind SAFARI MAGIC. Rounding the Home Turn, DRAGON GLORY was hampered when crowded for room outside FLYING MACHINE which shifted out away from the heels of MIGHTY WONGCHOY. Approaching and passing the 250 Metres, FLYING MACHINE raced tight inside PRECIOUS GEM which shifted in under pressure. Then passing the 200 Metres, MIGHTY WONGCHOY, which was giving ground, was eased when crowded for room inside FLYING MACHINE which continued to race tight inside PRECIOUS GEM which again got its head on the side and shifted in further after being bumped by ISLAND FLYER which shifted in marginally under pressure. After this, PRECIOUS GEM continued to race with its head on the side and lay in. Passing the 250 Metres, YEUNG SING was shifted out across the heels of FLYING MACHINE to obtain clear running. A veterinary inspection of FLYING MACHINE and MIGHTY WONGCHOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FLYING MACHINE, SPEEDY WALLY and ISLAND FLYER were sent for sampling.
