TOWERING STORM was checked on jumping when crowded for room between HARBOUR DELIGHT and ALPINEFIELD, both of which shifted ground. WHAT YOU DREAM began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped JUN GONG. After the 1400 Metres, AXIOM was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GUN PIT. GUN PIT lost its left hind plate in the early stages. For some distance along the Back Straight, HARBOUR DELIGHT raced awkwardly with its head on the side and lay out. At the 400 Metres, ALPINEFIELD and WHAT YOU DREAM bumped. TOWERING STORM had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. Approaching the 300 Metres, SPINNING DANCER was steadied when disappointed for running between ALPINEFIELD and GOLDEN ADDICTION which was commencing to give ground. In this incident, ALPINEFIELD became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by SPINNING DANCER. After this, SPINNING DANCER remained held up before being shifted to the outside of ALPINEFIELD to obtain clear running passing the 200 Metres. Passing the 100 Metres, ALPINEFIELD was steadied after being bumped by AXIOM which got its head on the side and shifted out. Over the concluding stages, CANNY FRANCO was awkwardly placed inside the heels of AXIOM. For the majority of the race, GOLDEN ADDICTION travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN ADDICTION and ALPINEFIELD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FANTASTIC KAKA and GUN PIT were sent for sampling.
