LUCKY FOLLOW ME was withdrawn on 16.5.14 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). MIGHTY K was also withdrawn on 16.5.14 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inappetence). SLICK BULLET, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 16.5.14 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (sore right front fetlock). MR GINGER was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen right front fetlock). Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY FOLLOW ME, MIGHTY K, SLICK BULLET and MR GINGER will all be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LUCKY DAY was slow to begin and despite being vigorously ridden along failed to muster speed and then in the middle stages became detached from the main body of the field. Approaching the 600 Metres, PSYCHOLOGIST was taken wider by KING OF HOUSEHOLD which shifted to the outside of BERLINSKI. When questioned, C Y Ho stated that he had been instructed to shift PSYCHOLOGIST across behind runners in the early stages as the horse had raced best when being ridden from off the speed. He said PSYCHOLOGIST began very well today and at no stage did he ride his mount along, rather he steadied PSYCHOLOGIST in the early stages in an attempt to comply with his instructions. He said however that as the tempo of the race in the early stages was slow, PSYCHOLOGIST over-raced and he was not able to steady it and shift across behind runners despite his endeavours. He said because of this PSYCHOLOGIST was left racing wide and without cover throughout the race when ridden in a more forward position than had been intended. He added however that PSYCHOLOGIST 's positioning in today 's race was due to the manner in which the horse began and the tempo of the race in the early stages. EYE ON YOU, BERLINSKI and STAR OF BOND were sent for sampling.
