KIM GLORY shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of MIGHTY GAINS. A short distance later, KIM GLORY became unbalanced when crowded for room between MIGHTY GAINS and CAPTAIN AMERICA, both of which shifted ground. In this incident, CAPTAIN AMERICA also became unbalanced after making contact with KIM GLORY and shifted in and in doing so bumped the hindquarters of SPLENDID GUY which became unbalanced. ELEPHANT MAGIC began awkwardly. From wide barriers, MARVEL PLUS and SUPER TEAM were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Also shortly after the start, WINE LOVERS was steadied away from the heels of MIGHTY GAINS which shifted out. Making the first turn after the 600 Metres, KIM GLORY shifted out and made heavy contact with the hindquarters of MR AWARD which became badly unbalanced. A short distance after this, KIM GLORY raced tight between MR AWARD and CAPTAIN AMERICA which got its head on the side, lay out and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of LEELI’S STAR. Then passing the 500 Metres, KIM GLORY and MR AWARD made further contact due to both horses shifting ground. Also making the first turn after the 600 Metres, COPY STAR was checked away from the heels of SPLENDID GUY which momentarily raced in restricted room inside WINE LOVERS (T Berry) which shifted in marginally. T Berry was advised to exercise more care. Near the 150 Metres, KIM GLORY was bumped by TAKE THE RAP which shifted out around MIGHTY GAINS to improve its position. Then near the 100 Metres, KIM GLORY was crowded for room between MR AWARD and TAKE THE RAP which, after improving to the outside of the heels of MIGHTY GAINS, was then taken out marginally by that horse which was giving ground. Close to the finishing line, ELEPHANT MAGIC was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR AWARD. A veterinary inspection of MIGHTY GAINS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. KIM GLORY, LEELI’S STAR and WINE LOVERS were sent for sampling.
