As the start was effected, SEA DIAMOND, which was fractious in the barriers, bounded and consequently lost ground. WILLIE INVICTUS was slow to begin. PENGLAI XIANZI began awkwardly and lost ground. From the outside barrier, LET ME HANDLE IT was taken across behind runners in the early stages. DUNDONNELL lost its left hind plate approaching the 1100 Metres. After the 800 Metres, WINNING LEADER was left racing wide and without cover. After initially being shifted to the inside of DUNDONNELL passing the 300 Metres, DEEP THINKER was shifted to the outside of that horse when disappointed for running between DUNDONNELL and PENGLAI XIANZI. T H So (WINNING LEADER) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that passing the 200 Metres permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of MAJESTIC FALCON, causing that horse to be checked and to lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled. T H So was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 8 May 2014 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Happy Valley racemeeting on Wednesday, 30 April 2014. In assessing penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey So’s good race riding record this season. A veterinary inspection of NEW VISION and MAJESTIC FALCON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DUNDONNELL, DEEP THINKER and FLASH KNIGHT were sent for sampling.
