As the start was effected, LUCKY FOREVER, which had been restless in the stalls, reared and consequently lost ground. ASHKIYR and WAYFOONG EXPRESS bumped at the start. TRAVEL BRAND began awkwardly and was slow to begin. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, TRAVEL BRAND was steadied away from the heels of ASHKIYR (A Suborics) which shifted in when not quite clear. A Suborics was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. TAKE TO THE LIMIT travelled wide and without cover until near the 1300 Metres. The performance of TAKE TO THE LIMIT, which subsequently finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, TAKE TO THE LIMIT will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ASHKIYR lost its left front plate after the finish. A veterinary inspection of APPROVE and SUNNY YING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TRAVEL BRAND and KHAYA were sent for sampling.
