Jockey A Suborics (HUMONGUS) was reprimanded for arriving late into the Parade Ring for this race. BURGUNDY MAC began only fairly. Shortly after the start, HUMONGUS was bumped by OPTIMIZATION STAR which shifted out. From the outside barrier, ABLE DRAGON was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. NAMJONG TURBO lost its left front plate at the 1400 Metres. At the 900 Metres, PUBLIC FIGURE got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of NATURAL CHAMPION. Approaching the 800 Metres, INFINITE COURAGE was steadied away from the heels of NAMJONG TURBO when unable to improve to the outside of that horse and inside NATURAL CHAMPION. Approaching the 500 Metres, BAMBOO DANCE became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by STREET CAT which improved into tight running between BAMBOO DANCE and ABLE DRAGON. Near the 150 Metres, STREET CAT was steadied when crowded for room between SMART GUY and GOLDMEN Y Y which shifted in marginally. After improving into tight running between PUBLIC FIGURE and INFINITE COURAGE approaching the 100 Metres, BURGUNDY MAC then raced in restricted room between those horses over the concluding stages. Over the concluding stages, INFINITE COURAGE raced tight between BURGUNDY MAC and OPTIMIZATION STAR and close to the finishing line bumped with OPTIMIZATION STAR. A veterinary inspection of STREET CAT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. NATURAL CHAMPION and NAMJONG TURBO were sent for sampling.
