After being loaded, ALL THE BEST got its head into the adjoining stall. When the horse was unable to be corrected, it was removed from the stall before being reloaded. Also after being loaded, DINING STAR was fractious and reared on two occasions. GOLDEN DEER began awkwardly and shortly after the start was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FULL TALENT. After this, GOLDEN DEER was ridden along, however, failed to muster speed and was taken across behind runners in the early stages. GAOLING LUCKY STAR was slow to begin. From the outside barrier, KING’S STEED was taken across behind runners in the early stages. MIGHTY K was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 900 Metres, DYNAMIC VOYAGE shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of TEOFILO CALVA which was shifting in, resulting in TEOFILO CALVA becoming badly unbalanced. After this, TEOFILO CALVA and DYNAMIC VOYAGE raced tight for some distance. BESPOKE COLLARS lost its right front plate near the 850 Metres. After the 700 Metres, LONGWAH SUPREME got its head on the side and lay out. Passing the 300 Metres, GAOLING LUCKY STAR was held up for clear running when awkwardly placed close to the heels of DYNAMIC VOYAGE. Over the final 100 Metres, LONGWAH SUPREME was awkwardly placed outside GOLDEN DEER which shifted out. Throughout the race, TEOFILO CALVA travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of DYNAMIC VOYAGE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TEOFILO CALVA and FULL TALENT were sent for sampling.
