BOLD TACK was withdrawn on 4.2.14 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GLORY HORSIE (Apprentice C Y Lui). Before being allowed to race again, BOLD TACK will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. NOBODY BUT YOU began awkwardly. GOLDEN CHOICE began only fairly. GENERAL IRON began awkwardly and shortly after the start raced tight between GLORY HORSIE and CALL ME ACHIEVER which shifted out. From a wide barrier, KING ON EARTH was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. When being steadied in the early stages from the outside barrier to obtain cover, CHANS DELIGHT proved difficult to settle and passing the 800 Metres became unbalanced when racing tight outside SUPER GOAL ELITE. Near the 650 Metres, KING ON EARTH bumped the hindquarters of NOBODY BUT YOU after being crowded for room inside CHANS DELIGHT which shifted in abruptly. In the early part of the Straight, KING ON EARTH was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GOLDEN CHOICE. Near the 250 Metres, CHANS DELIGHT was shifted in away from the heels of KING ON EARTH to obtain clear running. After the race, W M Lai reported that the action of SUPER GOAL ELITE, which finished tailed out, was of concern as it did not travel comfortably at any stage of the race. A veterinary inspection of SUPER GOAL ELITE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of SUPER GOAL ELITE was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER GOAL ELITE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of MIGHT AND VISION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GENERAL IRON and CALL ME ACHIEVER were sent for sampling.
