DAN EXCEL began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped AKEED MOFEED. From the outside barrier, ENDOWING was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. BUSINESS AS USUAL began only fairly. Approaching the 500 Metres, ENDOWING was shifted in away from the heels of BUSINESS AS USUAL as that horse was weakening. SAME WORLD was briefly held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight. Throughout the race, PURE CHAMPION travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of BUSINESS AS USUAL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of BUSINESS AS USUAL, which weakened from the 600 Metres and finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BUSINESS AS USUAL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. AKEED MOFEED and ASHKIYR were sent for sampling.
