KYNAM was withdrawn on 6.1.14 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (tied-up after track work) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter WHAT A HEART (C K Tong). Before being allowed to race again, KYNAM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. From wide barriers, LET’S GOAL and PEACEFUL MISSION were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After travelling for a short distance, CAPITAL K, which was being ridden along, was steadied and KICK SERVE checked when crowded for room between KIDS AND WIN and HAPPY CHAMPION which got its head on the side and shifted out away from FANTASY JEWELLERY which shifted out after brushing SUPREME FLIGHT. CROESUS, which travelled wide and without cover until near the 700 Metres, became unbalanced after bumping SUPREME FLIGHT which was awkwardly placed outside the heels of WHAT A HEART which got its head on the side and lay out approaching the 800 Metres. CALLING WITH LOVE was left racing wide and without cover near the 700 Metres. FANTASY JEWELLERY made the Home Turn awkwardly. At the 50 Metres, CROESUS and KICK SERVE bumped. Over the concluding stages, CROESUS was steadied when crowded for room between KIDS AND WIN and KICK SERVE which shifted in. A veterinary inspection of CROESUS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CROESUS, CALLING WITH LOVE and HAPPY CHAMPION were sent for sampling.
