MULTIVICTORY was withdrawn on 17.12.13 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (substantial amount of mucus in trachea on scoping after track work) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter HAWTHORNE (T Angland). Before being allowed to race again, MULTIVICTORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. BRAVENESS shifted out at the start and bumped ALL FRIENDS. KA YING KID began very awkwardly and shortly after the start was taken across behind runners. Also from a wide barrier, HEAVENISARACEHORSE was taken across behind runners in the early stages. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, GENERAL IRON was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SWIFT SHADOW which was racing tight inside LONDON WALK. Near the 450 Metres, HEAVENISARACEHORSE raced tight between CHOICE TREASURE which got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of GENERAL IRON and NEW PET. Rounding the Home Turn, CHOICE TREASURE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GENERAL IRON. Passing the 200 Metres, ALL FRIENDS was shifted in away from the heels of SPITFIRE to obtain clear running. Passing the 150 Metres, GENERAL IRON was shifted in away from the heels of NORDIC ONE. For some distance after this, GENERAL IRON raced in restricted room between CHOICE TREASURE and NORDIC ONE which shifted in marginally. When giving ground, SPITFIRE shifted out passing the 100 Metres and bumped BRAVENESS. A veterinary inspection of BRAVENESS and LONDON WALK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CHOICE TREASURE, HAWTHORNE and SWIFT SHADOW were sent for sampling.
