LORD SINCLAIR was withdrawn on 15.10.13 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right front foot) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter CELESTIAL CENTURY (K C Leung). Before being allowed to race again, LORD SINCLAIR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SILVER GRECIAN and SLICK BULLET were slow to begin. WHY NOT began awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped by ROCKET LET WIN. Passing the 500 Metres, BUNDLE OF LOVE and BOBO DRAGON raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions as BUNDLE OF LOVE attempted to shift to the outside of NEW GLORY. At the entrance to the Straight, SLICK BULLET was steadied when disappointed for running between CELESTIAL CENTURY and BUNDLE OF LOVE which shifted out. Throughout the race, ETON BLITZ and TALLEY CLOSE travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that BOBO DRAGON had bled from both nostrils. A veterinary inspection of SLICK BULLET immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. BOBO DRAGON, NEW GLORY and SILVER GRECIAN were sent for sampling.
