CRUISE CONTROL began very awkwardly and made heavy contact with IDYLLIC WIND. CRUISE CONTROL then became unbalanced, shifted in and bumped ABLE DRAGON which was also hampered. MONEY WIN WINS began awkwardly and was then bumped by MEDIC CHAMPION which shifted out. As the start was effected, HEY CHEERS bounded in the air and consequently lost ground. Shortly after the start, HEY CHEERS was then steadied away from the heels of EVER INVINCIBLE which shifted in. After the 1500 Metres, RAIN OF THUNDER was steadied away from the heels of PUBLIC FIGURE which shifted out. After the 900 Metres, MEDIC CHAMPION became unbalanced after racing in restricted room inside BILLION GAINS. CAVALE travelled wide and without cover until after the 600 Metres. Rounding the Home Turn, HAPPY KAISER raced tight between CRUISE CONTROL and MEDIC CHAMPION which shifted out when under pressure and commencing to give ground. A veterinary inspection of MEDIC CHAMPION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of MEDIC CHAMPION, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MEDIC CHAMPION will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. In the early part of the Straight, CRUISE CONTROL got its head on the side and lay in under pressure. Near the 200 Metres, M Chadwick (ABLE DRAGON) dropped his left rein. After the 200 Metres, CAVALE got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly, resulting in ALL MY KINGDOMS being inconvenienced. A veterinary inspection of BILLION GAINS immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse’s trachea. CLEMENT SPIRIT, HEY CHEERS and IDYLLIC WIND were sent for sampling.
