When HYPERSONIC became fractious in the barriers and reared, MAKE IT, which was in the adjoining stall, also became fractious and momentarily got down behind. POLYMER WIN began awkwardly. When proving difficult to settle, LIFELINE ELITE shifted in passing the 800 Metres and bumped SMART KIDS which became unbalanced. HEARTS KEEPER, which was following LIFELINE ELITE, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse in consequence. Near the 700 Metres, ALL FRIENDS proved difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions. Throughout the race, ALL VICTORY travelled wide and without cover. When questioned, D Whyte stated that although HYPERSONIC was drawn the inside barrier today, he had been asked to ride the horse quietly as it finished off well on the surface when ridden in a similar manner at its last start. He said prior to the start HYPERSONIC proved fractious and reared. He said the horse then began reasonably and travelled well throughout the early and middle stages. He added rounding the Home Turn he was following the eventual winner, DANEWIN TIGER and whilst that horse showed a much better turn of foot, he felt that HYPERSON’s run was satisfactory given that the horse was up in grade and today’s “Wet Slow” surface was different from that which it was successful on at its most recent start. A veterinary inspection of HYPERSONIC immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of ALL FRIENDS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HYPERSONIC, DANEWIN TIGER and DREAM BUILDER were sent for sampling.
