DARS AUTO began only fairly. SUPREME HONG KONG began awkwardly. From a wide barrier, MAGNUMOUS was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. From wide barriers, both CHAMPION MOUNT and FUN HEROES travelled wide and without cover throughout the race and in the Straight gave ground. The performances of CHAMPION MOUNT and FUN HEROES, both of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, CHAMPION MOUNT and FUN HEROES will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the 500 Metres, HANDSOME BATCHELOR and SUPER BRAND raced tight as HANDSOME BATCHELOR shifted out to obtain clear running. DARS AUTO shifted ground outwards under pressure in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of EASY TO RICH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. DARS AUTO and OLE OLE were sent for sampling.
