XILAI XIANZI shifted in at the start and bumped HEAR THE ROAR. SATIRICAL BOY began very awkwardly and shifted out abruptly across the heels of PRECISION ERA at the start. SHANTARAAM, which was leaning on the inside of its stall as the start was effected, was crowded for room shortly after the start between XILAI XIANZI and AGIAAL which got its head on the side and shifted in away from LEVEL PLAYER. From wide barriers, TOWERING STORM and HEI HEI POSH were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. After the 1000 Metres, SHANTARAAM was left racing wide and without cover. Near the 900 Metres, LITTLE MEN was awkwardly placed close to the heels of XILAI XIANZI. Rounding the Home Turn, SHANTARAAM, which was commencing to give ground, was steadied away from the heels of XILAI XIANZI which was taken out by LITTLE MEN (D Whyte). D Whyte was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care. At the 400 Metres, PEPPERMINT was shifted to the inside of GOODVIEW SUCCESSOR to obtain clear running. For a short distance approaching the 200 Metres, HEI HEI POSH was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SATIRICAL BOY. A veterinary inspection of AGIAAL, SHANTARAAM and PRECISION ERA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LITTLE MEN and TOWERING STORM were sent for sampling.
