ALL WIN BOY was crowded for room on jumping between SECRET SHAM and ROYAL PARTNER which shifted in after beginning awkwardly. PROSPERITY AETHON began awkwardly and shortly after the start momentarily raced tight inside SMART KIDS which shifted in. From wide barriers, KEEN TACTICS and LONGWAH INVINCIBLE were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. SECRET SHAM was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight. In the Straight, ROYAL PARTNER raced greenly. After the race, K C Leung (SLEDGE HAMMER) reported that in the absence of the horse’s trainer, Mr P O’Sullivan, who was not present at today’s racemeeting, he had been asked by the owners to attempt to have the horse in a more forward position. He said however he was unable to clear runners to his inside and for this reason SLEDGE HAMMER travelled wide and without cover throughout the race and in the Straight gave ground. ROYAL PARTNER, SEA DRAGON and SECRET SHAM were sent for sampling.
