Just prior to the start being effected, SERENDIPITY lunged at the front gates. SERENDIPITY then shifted in at the start, resulting in NOVEL START being momentarily crowded for room. TELECOM PRINCE began very awkwardly, shifted in across the heels of WELL DONE and consequently lost ground. SPICY SHRIMP began awkwardly. From the outside barrier, HIGHEST ACCLAIM was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. At the entrance to the Straight, TEAM WORK was checked away from the heels of AMAZING ALWAYS when attempting to improve to the outside of that horse which shifted out and inside IMPECCABLE. As the Stewards were satisfied that TEAM WORK had not established running to the outside of AMAZING ALWAYS at the time of the incident, no further action was taken. At the 200 Metres, TEAM WORK was shifted to the outside of IMPECCABLE to continue improving. Near the 150 Metres, TELECOM PRINCE was shifted out away from the heels of AMAZING ALWAYS. Throughout the race, NOVEL START travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of RISING POWER after the race did not show any significant findings. IMPECCABLE and TEAM WORK were sent for sampling.
