On arrival at the barriers, the tongue tie fitted to MY WORD was adjusted. MY WORD shifted in at the start and bumped MUTUAL DELIGHT. After this, MY WORD shifted out, resulting in MOBILE KING becoming unbalanced. U Rispoli (ISLAND SPRING) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that passing the 1400 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of FOREVER AHEAD, causing that horse to be checked and in turn taken across the running of MOBILE KING which was also checked, lost the running to which it was rightfully entitled and blundered. U Rispoli was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Wednesday, 13 February 2013 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin racemeeting on Saturday, 2 February 2013. Near the 350 Metres, MY WORD was checked and ACTIVISM hampered when crowded for room between FOREVER AHEAD and MUTUAL DELIGHT which after being brushed by HECO RIDER then got its head on the side and shifted out. Approaching the 200 Metres, THE FAST LANE had difficulty obtaining clear running. Throughout the race, ISLAND SPRING travelled wide and without cover. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of MUTUAL DELIGHT, B Prebble stated that his mount was inclined to travel keenly throughout the race and raced close to the heels of COSMO ONE on occasions. He said shortly after entering the Straight he attempted to hold his ground to prevent HECO RIDER from shifting out and at this time MUTUAL DELIGHT, after making light contact with HECO RIDER, then got its head on the side and shifted out noticeably. He said after this he placed MUTUAL DELIGHT under pressure, however, the horse again got its head on the side and shifted ground on a number of occasions and, in general, felt unbalanced in its action. He added that when pulling up after the race, MUTUAL DELIGHT made a number of abnormal respiratory noises and stumbled on occasions. A veterinary inspection of MUTUAL DELIGHT after the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, MUTUAL DELIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of FOREVER AHEAD after the race did not show any significant findings. WHY NOT and THE FAST LANE were sent for sampling.
