TOM’S EIGHTH was slow to begin. From the outside barrier, CHINA DELIGHT was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after the start, VERY WELL was steadied away from the heels of FORTUNE BRAVO which got its head on the side and shifted out. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, OUR DYNASTY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of EASY GOLD when being shifted in behind that horse. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, ALL THE WINNERS got its head up on a number of occasions. Near the 1100 Metres, GOLDEN OSMANTHUS was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of ALL THE WINNERS. Near the 250 Metres, OUR DYNASTY was steadied away from the heels of BRILLIANT CHARIOT (C Lemaire) which shifted out. C Lemaire was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. Throughout the race, SUISSE D’OR travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that VERY WELL had lost its right hind plate. A veterinary inspection of EASY GOLD after the race revealed the horse to be lame in the left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, EASY GOLD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of OUR DYNASTY after the race did not show any significant findings. ALL THE WINNERS and GOLDEN OSMANTHUS were sent for sampling.
