NOBLE BOY was withdrawn on 27.11.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter REGENCY WINNER (G Mossé). Before being allowed to race again, NOBLE BOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. FORTUNE WINNER began awkwardly and stumbled shortly after the start. When FORTUNE WINNER began awkwardly, it shifted out, resulting in PRIDE AND HONOUR being crowded for room inside TRAVEL BRAND. FORTUNE WINNER was then ridden along, however, failed to muster speed. Near the 500 Metres, TRAVEL BRAND raced tight between INDIGO WAY and PRECISION ERA. Shortly after entering the Straight, PRECISION ERA got its head on the side and shifted in towards the heels of TRAVEL BRAND. After being held up for clear running approaching the 200 Metres, REGENCY WINNER was shifted in away from the heels of HOLLYWOOD KISS near the 200 Metres. In the Straight, ENDOWING hung in and proved very difficult to ride. Throughout the race, TRES MAGNIFIQUE travelled wide and without cover. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that TRES MAGNIFIQUE had lost its right hind plate. A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE WINNER after the race did not show any significant findings. HEAR THE ROAR and ENDOWING were sent for sampling.
