Steward Report Predict Pace Map
Whilst in the saddling stalls, TREASURE MAN had its right front plate refitted. TREASURE MAN was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. After being loaded, FLORAL MAN became fractious and reared. Before being allowed to race again, FLORAL MAN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. Also after being loaded, MULTIEXPRESS became very fractious. MULTIEXPRESS, which was having its first race start, will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial before being allowed to race again. LUCKY CHEVALIER was slow to begin. MATSUKAZE began very awkwardly and bumped the outside of its gate. After this, MATSUKAZE was ridden along to obtain a forward position, however, failed to muster speed. From a wide barrier, FLORAL MAN was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after the start, NAMJONG TURBO shifted in and bumped HO HO BROTHER. Approaching the 1100 Metres, HO HO BROTHER was again bumped by NAMJONG TURBO which shifted in momentarily. Making the turn near the 850 Metres, LOVING ALL commenced to prove difficult to settle, got its head on the side and shifted out away from the heels of MATSUKAZE, resulting in LUCKY CHEVALIER being taken wider. For some distance after this, LOVING ALL continued to be awkwardly placed close to the heels of MATSUKAZE and passing the 700 Metres again shifted out away from the heels of that horse and in doing so bumped LUCKY CHEVALIER. Approaching the 600 Metres and again near the 500 Metres, GOLD TARTINI became badly unbalanced when reluctant to improve into a tight run inside LOVING ALL which shifted out. MATSUKAZE had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. Passing the 300 Metres, MATSUKAZE over-reacted when being corrected by its rider, Apprentice C Y Lui. FLORAL MAN was not able to obtain clear running until approaching the 200 Metres. Near the 100 Metres, GOLD TARTINI was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HO HO BROTHER. Throughout the race, LUCKY NISTELROOY travelled wide and without cover. The performance of TREASURE MAN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, TREASURE MAN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that LUCKY NISTELROOY had bled from both nostrils. A veterinary inspection of MULTIEXPRESS after the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY NISTELROOY, CAGA SPIRIT and FLORAL MAN were sent for sampling.
