MY NAME IS BOND began awkwardly. RUMBA KING shifted in at the start and bumped NORDIC ONE. EARL OF LEITRIM was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of AMBER SKY which shifted out. AMBER SKY then bumped GOLD BALL which became unbalanced. Near the 400 Metres, VITAL FLYER became unbalanced in its action. Passing the 300 Metres, MY NAME IS BOND was shifted to the outside of LEELI’S STAR after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse which was giving ground. M L Yeung (RUMBA KING) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 50 Metres he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of MY NAME IS BOND, causing that horse to be checked away from the heels of RUMBA KING and lose the running to which it was rightfully entitled. M L Yeung was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 27 September 2012 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Happy Valley racemeeting on Wednesday, 19 September 2012. VITAL FLYER and AMBER SKY were sent for sampling.
