CASTLE HERO was withdrawn on 8.4.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter RUMBA KING (B Prebble). Before being allowed to race again, CASTLE HERO will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. STRATHTAY was difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, STRATHTAY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. RUMBA KING was checked at the start when crowded for room between HIGHLAND DRAGON and FIRST IN COMMAND which shifted out. After the race, B Prebble reported that after being checked at the start RUMBA KING did not stretch out at any stage and was awkward in its action. A veterinary inspection of RUMBA KING after the race did not show any significant findings. JUN QI began awkwardly and shifted in, resulting in NOBODY BUT YOU being crowded for room outside HIGHLAND DRAGON which also shifted out. In this incident, both NOBODY BUT YOU and JUN QI lost ground. MI SAVVY began awkwardly. LUCKY SCEPTER shifted in at the start, resulting in STRATHTAY being hampered. Shortly after the start, STRATHTAY raced in restricted room between LUCKY SCEPTER and SAMADHI which shifted out after bumping GLORY HORSIE. After the 700 Metres, LUCKY RECORD was awkwardly placed outside the heels of GLORY HORSIE. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FIRST IN COMMAND had lost its right front plate and that HIGHLAND DRAGON had lost its left front plate. A veterinary inspection of JUN QI after the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of GLORY HORSIE after the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GLORY HORSIE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MI SAVVY and BULLISH KING were sent for sampling.
