GROOVY was slow to begin. As the start was effected, HAPPY YEAH YEAH, which was leaning on the outside of its stall, began awkwardly and lost ground. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, VITAL FLYER got its head on the side and hung out. VITAL FLYER then continued to hang out for the remainder of the event. Before being allowed to race again, VITAL FLYER will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. PAGANINI’S SOUL had difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 200 Metres. At the 200 Metres, TOUCH GO was steadied away from the heels of AT MOMENT IN TIME when disappointed for running between EL ZONDA and AT MOMENT IN TIME which, after initially being taken out by FLYING COLOURS, then shifted out further of its own accord. A short distance after this, AT MOMENT IN TIME was momentarily crowded for room between FLYING COLOURS and EL ZONDA which shifted in. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that HORSE GALORE had lost its right hind plate. A veterinary inspection of VITAL FLYER and GROOVY after the race did not show any significant findings. ROMANTIC CITY, FLYING COLOURS and EL ZONDA were sent for sampling.
