INVINCIBLE HEART began awkwardly and lost ground. MEGABUCKS was crowded for room at the start between LINKED WIN and FAIRY DRAGON which shifted out after being brushed by MR AWARD. SUPER GALILEO was slow to begin and then shortly after the start was crowded for room between FLYING KEEPER and WELL FIT, both of which shifted ground. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, FAIRY DRAGON failed to muster speed. Making the first turn after the 600 Metres, WELL FIT got its head on the side and hung out. Passing the 600 Metres, FLYING KEEPER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of FAIRY DRAGON. Also passing the 600 Metres, MEGABUCKS shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of LINKED WIN which became unbalanced. Near the 500 Metres, FLYING KEEPER became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of FAIRY DRAGON. After the 500 Metres, RACING LEGEND was hampered and raced tight between WELL FIT and THINK BIG which shifted out away from the heels of MR AWARD. In this incident, THINK BIG was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR AWARD for some distance. Then making the Home Turn, RACING LEGEND was steadied and shifted to the outside of WELL FIT to obtain clear running. Close to the finishing line, INVINCIBLE HEART became unbalanced after shifting in towards the running rail. Throughout the race, DR BULLION travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of FAIRY DRAGON after the race did not show any significant findings. MR AWARD and RACING LEGEND were sent for sampling.
