Steward Report Predict Pace Map
When proceeding from the Parade Ring to the track, GOOD SMILE became fractious, reared over and struck its head on the ground. Apprentice T H So, the rider of GOOD SMILE, was injured in this incident. Acting on veterinary advice that GOOD SMILE was not suitable to race, the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, GOOD SMILE will be required to undertake schooling in the Parade Ring to the satisfaction of the Stewards and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. As Apprentice So was transported to hospital, he was stood down from his remaining riding engagements. KENSWORTH KID was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, SUPREME HONG KONG, which began awkwardly, was crowded for room between COUNTRY CHARM and SUPER VAN which was taken in by COSMIC BOOM which shifted in at the start. In this incident, SUPREME HONG KONG bumped the hindquarters of COUNTRY CHARM which became unbalanced. Shortly after the start, SIMPLE raced in restricted room between GOLDEN INSIGHT and ISLAND SPRING. Approaching the 600 Metres, COUNTRY CHARM and SIMPLE were crowded for room between ISLAND SPRING (T Clark) which shifted out and SUPREME HONG KONG which was taken in by BEAUTY KING which shifted ground after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of COSMIC BOOM. T Clark was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances. After the 400 Metres, TANG PALACE was bumped by SIMPLE which shifted in when racing greenly. After this, TANG PALACE was inclined to hang out and proved difficult to ride. Approaching the 50 Metres, SUPREME HONG KONG became awkwardly placed on the heels of ULTIMATE WINNERS and shifted out. COSMIC BOOM, MENTOR and ULTIMATE WINNERS were sent for sampling. <5/12/2011 Additional Veterinary Report>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that COUNTRY CHARM was lame in both hind legs on the day after racing. Before being allowed to race again, COUNTRY CHARM will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
