ABSOLUTE FANTASY was checked at the start when crowded for room between FULFIL A WISH and SWEET ORANGE which got its head on the side and shifted out. GENE POWER was slow to begin and shortly after the start was checked when crowded for room between ADORATION and DANZULU, both of which shifted ground. From the outside barrier, PRETTY ONE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. For some distance approaching and passing the 1200 Metres, GENE POWER proved very difficult to settle and had to be checked away from the heels of MILITARY MOVE. After racing tight between ST FEVRE and MILITARY MOVE for some distance approaching the first turn, DANZULU was checked near the 850 Metres when unable to maintain its position when MILITARY MOVE got its head on the side and shifted out slightly. GENE POWER had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. For a short distance after the 300 Metres, MILITARY MOVE raced in restricted room between FULFIL A WISH and SEA THE PEARLS. Throughout the race, PERFECT GEAR travelled wide and without cover. SWEET ORANGE and ADORATION were sent for sampling.
