REALLY HAPPY, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 14.3.11 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (stable incident resulting in multiple abrasions). Before being allowed to race again, REALLY HAPPY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. JERRY MAGUIRE was crowded for room at the start between MI REILLY and WINE WIN, both of which shifted ground. TURF MAGIC was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of FLYING COLOURS which shifted in. When being corrected, FLYING COLOURS then shifted out and bumped SUPER BRAND which was being steadied to obtain a position closer to the fence. From the outside barrier, ELITE OF CHIU TON was taken across behind runners shortly after the start, however, travelled wide and without cover throughout the race. Approaching the 1100 Metres, GOLDEN BAUHINIA was momentarily tightened for room by JUMBO GOLD which shifted in. Near the 200 Metres, WINE WIN became unbalanced after making contact with ALWAYS SOMETHING. Near the 100 Metres, MR VIGOROUS got its head on the side and shifted out under pressure. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that MR VIGOROUS was making an abnormal breathing noise and that WINE WIN had lost its right front plate. A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN BAUHINIA after the race did not show any significant findings. JUMBO GOLD and ALWAYS SOMETHING were sent for sampling.
