SUPREME DE UNION was withdrawn on 16.11.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter KELLY’S HORSE (D Whyte). Before being allowed to race again, SUPREME DE UNION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. KELLY’S HORSE shifted in at the start and bumped EVER BEAUTY. Shortly after the start, RAINBOW SEEKER and TURBO KING were checked when crowded for room between JUN DAO and PERFECT FIT which was taken out by HAWTHORNE. Passing the 600 Metres, KELLY’S HORSE raced tight to the inside of TOPPING LIGHT which at this time shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HORSE GALORE. For some distance after this, TOPPING LIGHT remained awkwardly placed close to the heels of HORSE GALORE. HAWTHORNE hung out passing the 600 Metres. Passing the 100 Metres, EVER BEAUTY shifted out and bumped HORSE GALORE which became unbalanced. Passing the 50 Metres, KING OF THE DAY was steadied when disappointed for running between JUN DAO which was commencing to give ground and TOWKAY FLYER which shifted out. Because of this, KING OF THE DAY was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. For the majority of the race, JUN DAO travelled wide and without cover. TURBO KING and CHEVALIER KING were sent for sampling.
