VITAL FLYER began awkwardly and lost ground. ST DIDAR began awkwardly. TRUE INTELLIGENCE began awkwardly, was then ridden along in the early stages, but was not able to obtain a forward position. Approaching the 800 Metres, LONDON CHINA TOWN was awkwardly placed close to the heels of PERFECT STYLE which shifted in when barely clear. Making the first turn, ST FEVRE raced tight between DYNAMIC BLITZ and LONDON CHINA TOWN. VITAL FLYER, which was following ST FEVRE, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of that horse and in doing so shifted out, resulting in TRUE INTELLIGENCE, which itself was awkwardly placed close to the heels of DYNAMIC BLITZ, being hampered. After this, VITAL FLYER got its head on the side and hung out. For the majority of the race, ST DIDAR travelled wide and without cover and approaching and passing the 600 Metres hung out. In the Straight, LONDON CHINA TOWN got its head on the side and lay out and then near the 100 Metres was awkwardly placed inside ST FEVRE. A veterinary inspection of VITAL FLYER after the race did not show any significant findings other than the horse had a continuous dorsal displacement of the soft palate. A veterinary inspection of ST DIDAR after the race did not show any significant findings. DYNAMIC BLITZ, ST FEVRE and TRUE INTELLIGENCE were sent for sampling.
