FAIR NAVIGATOR was withdrawn on 29.6.10 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter WITHALLMYHEART (O Doleuze). Before being allowed to race again, FAIR NAVIGATOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ENGINEERING WONDER was slow to begin. DANEWIN TIGER and WIN THE CASH bumped at the start. Near the 300 Metres, FISHKING GLORY was checked when held up for clear running behind SAME SAME and YOUNG SUPREME. Approaching the 100 Metres, ENGINEERING WONDER was steadied and shifted in when held up for clear running. When questioned regarding the performance of SAME SAME, S K Sit said that he rode the horse in a piece of work on Monday, 28 June 2010 and this work, in his opinion, was good. He said in the early stages SAME SAME travelled well, however, near the 500 Metres came under pressure and after this did not respond to his riding and was disappointing. Mr C H Yip, the trainer of SAME SAME, said that he had been happy with the track work of the horse in the lead up to today`s race and had expected a forward showing. He said he was not able to explain the performance of the horse today. A veterinary inspection of SAME SAME after the race revealed that the horse had sustained a laceration to its left hind cannon. Before being allowed to race again, SAME SAME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of MACHO EXPRESS after the race did not show any significant findings. SAME SAME, HO HAPPY and SHY BALDY were sent for sampling.
