WINDICATOR RETURNS was withdrawn on 25.2.10 by order of the Stewards (stable transfer) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter RUGBY HEAVEN. TOM’S EIGHTH shifted out at the start and hampered FISHKING GLORY. Shortly after the start, HO HAPPY was steadied when tightened for room between SUPREME TAIJI and ASALI VICTORY which shifted out. Approaching the 400 METRES, SUPREME YEARS was awkwardly placed between LUCKY NISTELROOY and RUGBY HEAVEN, both of which shifted ground. Near the 300 Metres, HO HAPPY shifted out and bumped FRESH AIR. For some distance after this, FRESH AIR raced tight outside HO HAPPY. ASALI VICTORY, which was following, was steadied away from the heels of FRESH AIR in consequence. Inside the 100 Metres, FLASHING GUY, which was shifting out, was steadied away from the heels of FISHKING GLORY which itself shifted in and away from SUPREME TAIJI. A short distance later, FLASHING GUY was steadied away from the heels of RUGBY HEAVEN. Because of this, FLASHING GUY was no ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. Throughout the race, TOM’S EIGHTH raced greenly. FRESH AIR, ST DIDAR and HO HAPPY were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SHY BALDY had lost its right hind plate.
