ENERGIZED and PRINCE OF LUCK were slow to begin. SUCCESSFUL ERA and ABSOLUTE HEDGE bumped at the start. From wide barriers, HIGH LUCK and HIGH RETURN were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Approaching the first turn, ENERGIZED was steadied away from the heels of SUCCESSFUL ERA which shifted in. PRINCE OF LUCK, which was following and proving difficult to settle, was checked to avoid the heels of ENERGIZED, shifted out and bumped HIGH LUCK which became badly unbalanced and was checked away from the heels of HIGH RETURN. From after the 800 Metres, TOUT VA BIEN was left racing wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. Rounding the Home Turn, MY MELODY was held up for clear running and was checked away from the heels of ALL THE WINNERS. Just prior to the finishing line, COOL CAT shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of FORTUNE SPIRIT which became unbalanced. A veterinary inspection of TOUT VA BIEN after the race did not show any significant findings. SUCCESSFUL ERA and HIGH RETURN were sent for sampling.
