SPICY GOLD (H440): Sent for sampling post-race. GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490): K De Melo pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference shortly after the start (see CHARMING BABE). HAPPY FAT CAT (G166): Sent for sampling post-race. STORM RIDER (J027): Sent for sampling post-race. FIND MY LOVE (H110): No report. SOLID CAR (K058): Jumped only fairly. After the event K Teetan stated that whilst he was obliged to race three wide he had cover behind LO PAN SPIRIT. He said in the Home Straight SOLID CAR finished the race off only fairly when placed under pressure. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. DENFIELD (G471): Approaching the 1100 Metres raced in restricted room between CHARMING BABE and SOLID CAR and as a result commenced to race keenly. LO PAN SPIRIT (J233): The tongue tie was replaced on arrival at the Start. Jumped only fairly. Near the 500 Metres was steadied away from STORM RIDER when that runner shifted out slightly. After the event Z Purton stated that his mount, which was having its first race start at Happy Valley, was obliged to race wide and without cover and as a result did not appreciate racing around the Happy Valley circuit. Noted to have lost its right hind plate after the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CHARMING BABE (J513): K De Melo (GOLDEN EMPIRE) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that shortly after the start he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of CHARMING BABE, resulting in CHARMING BABE having to be checked. K De Melo was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Wednesday, 11 June 2025 and to expire on Sunday, 15 June 2025 on which day he may resume race riding (2 Hong Kong racedays). In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. GALAXY WITNESS (G110): Jumped only fairly. Approaching the 300 Metres was checked to avoid FIND MY LOVE when it made the Home Turn awkwardly. WRITTEN CASA (J305): No report. VICTORY MOMENTS (H142): Was found to have skin disease after arriving at the Happy Valley Racecourse. Was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found not to be suitable to start. Acting on this advice VICTORY MOMENTS was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, VICTORY MOMENTS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
